Nepal Australia Friendship Association (NAFA) is organising a fund raising program ‘NEPAL in the PARK’ at Mt Coot-tha on Sunday 12th September. This event is to help NAFA and Brisbane-based Nepali members of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) raise $6,000 for the construction of two classrooms for a school in the remote village of Tawal in Nepal.
Nepal festival is a biennial event organized by NRN Australia. It has been successfully organized twice; Sydney (2006) and in Sydney/Melbourne (2008). Nepal Festival is always the biggest event in NRN Australia calendar. Now this is being organised in Brisbane along with Sydney and Melbourne.

NAQ Sports Committee organised Sagarmatha Tennis Competition 2010 on 26th June 2010 at UQ Tennis Courts at St. Lucia. The competition was well attended by players and spectators.
