Nepalese Association of Queensland (NAQ) organises various cultural and social activities to celebrate Nepalese festivals and cultural events such as Teej, Dashain, Tihar, Nepalese New Year and Holi festivals to relive Nepalese traditions and culture. The cultural events not only preserve Nepalese traditions and cultures and also connect and empower Nepalese community members in Queensland. In addition to this, NAQ organises biannual Nepalese Dance Competition among various Nepalese communities in Australia and New Zealand.  Nepalese dance performers from different states and territories of Australia and New Zealand show their talent and compete for the titles in single, duet and group dance categories.
