Nepalese Association of Queensland (NAQ) organises various sports, yoga and other recreational activities to keep our community members fit, healthy, active and interconnected. Participation in sport and physical activity helps community members to enjoy healthier, happier and more productive lives. In this process, NAQ conducts a number of sporting and social events such as football, cricket, tennis, table tennis and volleyball matches. Similarly, NAQ facilitates conducting yoga, meditation and relaxation classes for it’s members. The legacy of NAQ as community organisation has come from sporting events. Prior to establishment of NAQ in 2006, regular soccer practice match used to be organised every Saturday afternoon which was a popular activity to unite and bring Nepalese community members together.
